2021 Cyprus
KunstRaum Goethe, Goethe-Insitut Zypern
Interlaced - Intertwined between layers
exhibition collaboration, installation and video projections by Dagmar I. Glausnitzer-Smith and Marion Jungeblut and with regional Artist Stelios Kalinikou from Cyprus
The KunstRaum Goethe forms an intertwining network during an extensive installation of artworks inside and outside the Goethe Insitut which is based near the cypriot-turkish border in Nicosia. Through words, objects, photography and sculpture, the viewer is lead through a labyrinth of ideas made visible, and at the moment when the apparent impression meets meaning, by approaching the exhibits step by step, thought by thought, it has already become an encounter of the indeterminate context.

Voice # 1
International Virtual Viral Event
transitstation 2021 Voice #1 is an international collaboration embracing transitstation’s core value of reaching out to artists’ organisations and artists who support the effort to sustain Live Art and Performance Art alive, now. To actualise the concept of exhibition-as-event during global pandemic conditions, we are planning two synchronised on-line events :
- the first part is a virtual simultaneous performance event recorded within a zoom grid of four performances, organised by 6 international art organisations: Mexico, India (2), Spain, South Korea, South America
- the second part is a synchronised, simultaneous presentation as semi public projections in 8 countries including UK and Germany
The Zoom ‘grid’ of 4 represents a schematic ‘diagrammatical’ image of a virtual/theoretical transitstation scaffolding system. Each 10-minute performance series will be simultaneous and recorded by the host organisation in a zoom image grid.
It is by testing and reflecting that a phenomenon like this can become the subject of pandemic research by its concrete and explicit realisation of visual synchronicity: the paradoxical view of a planned chance factor.
